Intel Atom Processor Killer

In our shop also provides Internet services (Internet cafe) to increase the number of visits per day of our shop, the original target is light users, such as browsing, chat, download, print etc. With these requirement, we think the CPU wich is consist of Intel Atom Processor,  1GB RAM, etc is enough.
The problem arises when one of our customer complained his computer freezes, and we must to press the reset button to fix it. We've tweaking the Operating System to the limit and the result is nothing. Then we observe the user behavior while using the computer, and we found the user just run instant messenger app, but the amazing thing is the number of chat windows are so many, more or less it's 15 windows are active on his desktop. So we think this is our problem, this is "the monster" who "killed" Intel Atom processor.
Then we decided to upgrade our system to Intel DualCore processor (also all of other things :( ) and the problems solved. It's freeze no more :), the conslusion is Intel Atom processor is not comercial use especially for various user wich is have various behavior. Read More.. Made's Blog

Install Windows XP SP2 On Compaq Presario CQ40-121 tu

Several months ago I decided to buy a portable computer, initially got confused choose, because there are many brands with many variations and "issue" differently. After long thinking, my choice fell on the Compaq CQ40-121TU intel Celeron 2.0 GHZ, 1GB RAM, Intel chipset, BCM4310 Wifi and bla,,bla,,bla,,

First, the technician installed Windows XP Proffesional SP2, every thing run well for a while after install, the problem rising when we reboot the laptop,the booting times are takes long time, it's 5minutes long!! After entering the windows environment, the DVD Drive is not detected by th OS. I started to troubleshoot my laptop by scanning all the drive from viruses, make sure the batteries is fully charged, make sure there is no external card plugged, and there is still booting problem in my laptop. Then I brought it to the technician where I bought the laptop and the technician says "this kind of laptop is not supported by XP" and then sugested to iinstall Vista instead, after Vista installed, everything is normal but i don't likes Vista :(

Then I started googling, what a suprised lot of peoples installed XP on CQ40 successfully. The hopes rise again :), I started to try various version of Windows XP, SP1, SP2, SP3, Black Edition, Etc. I decided to install SP3 of XP on my machine, then looking for the driver mannualy, I looking for driver from pcidatabase.com by looking for the device id of my machine by clicking 'manage' when right click on 'my computer' then choose 'device manager', then looking for the device id (one by one :( ) by right click on yellow device name then click 'properties', choose tab 'detail' then select 'Hardware Ids' on combo boxes, in 'values' boxes will shown the device and vendor id.
