UEFI si pengganti BIOS

Hardware komputer telah mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat dewasa ini. Kualitas grafis, kecepatan prosesor, kecepatan modul RAM, kapasitas RAM,sampai kualitas komponen sangat mengalami kemajuan. Demikian pula dengan software, saya mempunyai beberapa software terinstal di laptop dan hampir setiap tiga bulan selalu ada notifikasi bahwa telah tersedia versi terbaru.

A Few Important Point
 

• Defects are found only on the chipset, so the processor does not exist problem
• Port problems ranging from port number 2 to 5, not including ports 1 and 2 so on a laptop that uses only 2 port SATA (Hard Drive & Optical Drive) is not affected.
• Temporary solution is to use ports 7 & 8 that uses Marvell chipset and install the Marvell drivers.

The package also classified as a full supporter than its competitors, in sales package included Driver CD that is needed during the installation of the operating system, and this is a plus for this product.

Overall performance is good enough for this laptop, webcam Acer typically sharp image capture, bright LCD, but lack one thing the audio side, High Definition Audio Loudness is not followed enough to pamper the ears, although the volume is set full sound from the speakers remain sluggish cute, these completely different from older Acer product wich is have a loud sound system. Intel Atom Processor Killer

In our shop also provides Internet services (Internet cafe) to increase the number of visits per day of our shop, the original target is light users, such as browsing, chat, download, print etc. With these requirement, we think the CPU wich is consist of Intel Atom Processor,  1GB RAM, etc is enough.
The problem arises when one of our customer complained his computer freezes, and we must to press the reset button to fix it. We've tweaking the Operating System to the limit and the result is nothing. Then we observe the user behavior while using the computer, and we found the user just run instant messenger app, but the amazing thing is the number of chat windows are so many, more or less it's 15 windows are active on his desktop. So we think this is our problem, this is "the monster" who "killed" Intel Atom processor.
Then we decided to upgrade our system to Intel DualCore processor (also all of other things :( ) and the problems solved. It's freeze no more :), the conslusion is Intel Atom processor is not comercial use especially for various user wich is have various behavior. Read More.. Made's Blog: 2011
